The McNeese Cheerleading Squad consists of 16 co-ed cheerleaders and our mascot, Rowdy. As McNeese State University's most visible ambassadors, the squad and mascot make over 50 appearances annually on behalf of the university and athletic department. Whether serving as role models to grade school students or performing at an alumni reception, the Cheer Squad serves the university on a year-round basis. This dedicated group needs your support! Your contributions CAN and WILL make a difference!
Our current uniforms are eight years old and in need of replacing. We strive to get the most use out of each uniform with the handing down to new members instead of new purchases, but some uniforms are past the point of reuse. This year Cowboy Stadium received a facelift with fresh paint and pressure washing, and new turf was installed on Louis Bonnette Field. McNeese Cheerleading needs a new and updated look, too!
Funds raised from this project will also assist with travel expenses. Can you imagine an away football game without cheerleaders? We can't either!
