The Bill and Lena Henning Track and Field Complex is the home of Cowboy and Cowgirl Track and Field. Having recently completed a major renovation to install a new state-of-the-art track surface, the track and field teams practice and compete within some of the finest facilities and resources in the Southland Conference. To complete the makeover to the Bill and Lena Henning Track and Field Complex, the track teams are currently raising funds to install a brand-new scoreboard!
The current scoreboard that sits at the southeast corner of the track was installed in 2001. Having no renovations besides regular maintenance since installation, the last time the scoreboard was functional was when McNeese State hosted the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships in May of 2013. Unfortunately, the technology associated with the operation of the current scoreboard is no longer supported.
We are seeking donations to purchase a new state-of-the-art scoreboard to create a more interactive and memorable experience for both the spectators as well as those competing student-athletes. The addition of the new scoreboard would provide fans the ability to see live results of the races without having to use their phones for updates. The competing student-athletes would also be able to see their times and results almost immediately following their race while providing an enhanced experience and a professional atmosphere to the home competitions.
With your help, McNeese State Track and Field can continue to be one of the premier track and field facilities in the Southland Conference and the state of Louisiana.
